I’m admittedly concerned about who’s behind the council, headed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former West Virginia Gov. Bob Wise, (when did politicians become education experts???) but upon first review the elements seem to make sense. Here they are:

- Assessment and Accountability: Student learning is the metric for evaluating the quality of content and instruction.
- Funding: Funding creates incentives for performance, options and innovation.
- Delivery: Infrastructure supports digital learning.

You're right to be concerned as it's all about profits. See bullet point #4 under the 2nd heading (link below). I found your post thru google; was wondering what an AZ senator (my state) had to offer regarding education as we're on the bottom of the heap. Anyways, ALEC is an organization whereby corporations and republican legislators cook up new laws to benefit themselves.
