Essential Guide to Modern Learning: 10 #EdTech Considerations

Author and professor Liz Kolb and I had a lively conversation where we discussed ten considerations to guide the use of tech in modern classrooms. Take a look and think about how you would answer these questions.

The 10  considerations:
  1. Assessing Learning Through #EdTech Tools
  2. Combating Digital Inequity
  3. Creating Sustained Professional Learning Opportunities

Want to know my thoughts? Read The Innovative Educator blog, where I will share my suggestions and insights around each consideration. As each is published, I will update this post with a link to each blog post that addresses each consideration.

Until then if you want to share what you hope I'll touch upon in any of these considerations or if you have insights, please share in the comments.

  1. I really like the list of important considerations and role of edtech. There are a lot of cool VR and 360 degree video training starting to come out and I think how it is implemented and promoted in the classroom will really determine how things in this space play out over the next few years in the industry. Online education and the tech involved can make a significant role over the next decade.

  2. This blog really help me a lot in considering the technology I will be using in implementing the digital tools in a 21st century instructions. And I'm looking for the some application in a real classroom scenario in considering this guide especially in using the best framework- Triple E measuring tool in evaluating the technology I will be using. Lastly, the best guide is the # 9 which is to combat the inequity in using technology in education process.

  3. This revolutionary and effective teaching is very comprising not only for the teachers but primarily to our 21st century learners in which we can build greater connection with them through technology. Leveling up with the learners is practically doing this one as teachers. Rather than just lingering in our traditional way of teaching, this modern teaching strategy serves a way to produce more competent professional in the future. However, we as teachers must also be wary about how to use this technology and not to be succumb by it but to use it as a tool for enhancing learning, engaging students, and extending learning to practical experiences. Thank you so much for these thoughts.
