Innovation in education can't be just about technology and new media. We must make the move to transformative education for sustainability. The future has become a thing of the past - the well-being and survival of our students must become the new purpose of education. Julie presents numerous ways that green, compassionate schools can help students connect with the rest of nature, teach them the ecological principles they need in order to understand how life works on this planet, focus their energy and creativity on environmental solutions, and help them become practitioners of sustainable (and survivable) development.
